Service Ratings, LLC (“ValueStar,” “we” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy online. This statement describes our information collection and disclosure practices. We will not use or disclose information collected from you other than as described in this policy. This policy may change periodically. However, if we do change our policy we will send an email to all registered users prior to making the changes, and, in addition will place an announcement on the log-in and registration pages for ten (10) days prior to the change.

The following policies are in effect for any site operated by ValueStar, including www.valuestar.com and www.serviceratings.biz. If you click off our site to the sites of our partners, to any of our service providers, or to any other site, the privacy policies on those sites, and not ValueStar's privacy policy, will be in effect.

INFORMATION SECURITY
Keeping your personal information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. We value your trust and handle your personal information with care. We will safeguard any information our users share with us. We continually access new technology for protecting this information.

Please be aware that, although we endeavor to provide security for information in our possession and control, no security system can prevent all potential security breaches, and ValueStar bears no liability for uses or disclosures of Personal Information (as defined below) or Non-Personal Data (as defined below) arising in connection with the theft thereof, unless otherwise specified by applicable law. Likewise, registered users are responsible for safeguarding the confidentiality of their passwords, and ValueStar bears no liability for access to, or use or disclosure of Personal Information, if such access, use or disclosure arises in connection with the theft or disclosure (whether intentional or negligent) of such user’s password. You can help to maintain the security of your online transactions by not sharing your user name or password with anyone and by changing your password regularly.

INFORMATION COLLECTION
When you register with ValueStar, we may collect personally identifiable profile information from you through our registration form. We store and use profile information only for operating the ValueStar Benefits program. When you register with ValueStar, we also ask you to select a user name and password. We track the use of these user names and passwords to collect and maintain records of all individual transactions conducted through the ValueStar program.

We also collect and maintain information that you voluntarily provide to us. For example, we may ask you to provide personally identifiable information when you register for participation in any ValueStar service or when you provide a review of services you have received. Any such information collected will be used solely for the purpose of maintaining your account or providing ValueStar services.

We collect additional information that is not associated with your online account or your registration information, and that cannot be used to personally identify you (all such information is “Non-Personal Data,” in contrast to collected information described above, which is, “Personal Information”). Non-Personal Data ordinarily includes aggregate, summary, or other anonymous data, and may include, by way of example, product preferences within certain sectors of our user base, generalized subscriber preference, or other non-specific references to location, preferences, length of stay, number of pages viewed and the like.

We may use "cookies" (small pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer's hard drive) to track sessions and to personalize your experience on our site. We also use this information, and other information we obtain from your current and past activities on the ValueStar website, to troubleshoot problems, identify ways to improve the site and speed up your access to your "My ValueStar" page. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually set your browser to disable their use. Most of the features within our site are accessible when cookies are disabled.

USE AND DISCLOSURE OF COLLECTED INFORMATION
ValueStar uses Personal Information to maintain your account, communicate with you and process ValueStar transactions. We will not disclose personally identifiable information to anyone outside of ValueStar except those companies helping us operate the “ValueStar Benefits Program,” such as those processing credit card charges, shipping ValueStar rewards prizes or providing ValueStar services. In addition, ValueStar may share your identity and the details of any transaction(s) for which you provide feedback with service providers so that ValueStar may determine that such transactions are authentic. ValueStar does not maintain responsibility for the manner in which third parties use or further disclose Personal Information collected from you through our site; please see the relevant privacy policies of those third parties for further information. However, we do require our third-party service providers to promise not to use such information except as necessary to provide the relevant services. In addition, these companies will have signed an appropriate non-disclosure statement.

If you submit feedback unrelated to a transaction on a credit card enrolled in the ValueStar program, ValueStar may share your identity and the details of the transaction with a service provider so that the transaction can be confirmed as authentic. ValueStar does not, however, associate your feedback with the details of that transaction nor does ValueStar publish the identity of consumers submitting any of the feedback on our site. Consumers should be aware, though, that service providers may identify consumers who provide feedback based on the approximate time feedback was submitted or based on details of the service that the consumer might share in their feedback.

We may use personally identifiable information about you to customize your experience on ValueStar, to analyze site usage, and to improve our content and product offerings. ValueStar may contact users by email, through a general notice on the pages of ValueStar, or by written communication delivered by mail to the users’ address on record in the ValueStar registration database. We will tell you in plain language initially, and at least once annually, how you may remove your name from our marketing list. ValueStar will not sell, rent or share Personal Information about you with any third party unless we have previously informed you in disclosures or agreements, have been authorized by you to do so, or are required by law. If we receive a subpoena or similar legal process demanding release of any information about you, we will generally attempt to notify you (unless we believe we are prohibited from doing so). ValueStar may use Non-Personal Data in a variety of ways, including, by way of example, to evaluate the performance of the site or to generate anonymous statistics for our benefit or for our business partners. Because Non-Personal Data is entirely anonymous, and therefore can never be used by us to identify you, this policy does not limit ValueStar’s ability to use or disclose Non-Personal Data. Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. We may also access information about you when exercising our rights under the law or any agreement with you.

INFORMATION ACCURACY
If you ever find that your account information is not complete, not accurate or not current, please e-mail, call or write to us as noted above. We will correct any erroneous information as quickly as possible. You may amend your personal profile at any time by clicking on the "My ValueStar" link on any page. We have no ability to update any information previously disclosed to any third party.

OPTIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AND DISCLOSURES
You have choices when it comes to learning about services from ValueStar and companies with which it has a business relationship. For example, you can choose not to receive notification about any offers made by mail, telephone or e-mail. Whatever your preferences, we will honor your request. To tell us your preferences, you can alter your profile information at any time by updating your User Preferences on the My ValueStar Page. Please be aware that we need to share the information as described above in order to provide the ValueStar Benefits. In the event that you would prefer not to have your information shared, you may discontinue your ValueStar participation by selecting that option on the My ValueStar Page. Upon doing this, we will remove any shared information from ValueStar affiliated companies and deactivate your account within our system.

SERVICE PROVIDER SPECIFIC POLICIES
ValueStar collects two types of information from service providers: information intended to be available online for customers to use, called “Display” information, and information not intended to be seen by customers, called “Sensitive” information. Display information is intended to be displayed to ValueStar users and includes basic information collected online such as, name, address, phone number, hours of operation, number of employees, specialties, and email addresses for customer use. Some Display information is also verified or collected offline. Sensitive information is collected offline and includes insurance coverage, license information, identification numbers and similar data. We understand that except for license numbers, service providers do not expect Sensitive information to be displayed or shared outside the ValueStar companies.

ValueStar will not disclose Sensitive information with anyone outside of ValueStar except to those companies helping us operate the “ValueStar Benefits” program. All such entities receiving Sensitive information will only be receiving such data to help us operate our service and will have signed an appropriate non-disclosure agreement. ValueStar will not sell, rent or share Sensitive information about you with any third party unless we have previously informed you in disclosures or agreements, have been authorized by you to do so, or are required by law. If we receive a subpoena or similar legal process demanding release of any Sensitive information about you, we will generally attempt to notify you (unless we believe we are prohibited from doing so).

If you ever find that your account information is not complete, not accurate or not current, you may update your provider profile directly online, or you can email, call or write to us and we will correct any erroneous information as quickly as possible. To have your profile removed entirely or to identify information you do not want displayed on our website, please contact ValueStar via phone or email. Your request will be handled as quickly as possible.

VALUESTAR AND CHILDREN
ValueStar does not knowingly solicit data from children, and we do not knowingly market to children. We recognize that protecting children's identities and privacy online is important and that the responsibility to do so rests with both the online industry and with parents. ValueStar shall exercise reasonable efforts to remove data posted on its website by persons that it knows to be under eighteen (18) years of age.
