ValueStar rates local service businesses using multiple criteria including professional accreditation and certification information as well as consumer satisfaction ratings.
ValueStar Customer-Rated
The requirements for companies to achieve ValueStar's Customer-Rated status are:
- Achieve and maintain a Customer Satisfaction Score of at least 75 (out of a possible score of 100) on ratings by 25 or more ValueStar Consumers over the previous 12 months.
- Pass insurance, license, legal and credit verification
- Agree to be rated by their customers on an ongoing basis
- Agree to ValueStar's dispute resolution process
- Commit to customer service and satisfaction by adhering to ValueStar's Customer Bill of Rights
On applying to the Customer-Rated Program, a business' initial Customer Satisfaction Score is determined by a telephone survey of at least 25 recent customers selected at random. If the customer satisfaction score passes our standards and if the business satisfies ValueStar's credentials requirements, it is accepted into the program as ValueStar Customer-Rated. Thereafter, the satisfaction score is kept up-to-date with feedback solicited from ValueStar Consumers..
ValueStar Customer-Rated Gold
A ValueStar Customer-Rated Gold Service Provider must satisfy all the requirements for ValueStar Customer-Rated status, and, in addition, must achieve an average Customer Satisfaction Score of 90 or higher (out of a possible score of 100) on ratings by 25 or more ValueStar Consumers over the previous 12 months. The means of determining an initial score and keeping it up-to-date are the same as described above for Customer-Rated Service Providers.
