ValueStar Customer-Rated

A Customer-Rated Service Provider has achieved an average Customer Satisfaction Score of at least 75 on ratings by 25 or more ValueStar Consumers over the past 12 months.

On joining the Customer-Rated program, a business' initial Customer Satisfaction Score is determined by a telephone survey of at least 25 consumers selected at random from a list of 200 or more recent customers. If the initial score is high enough and if the business satisfies ValueStar's credentials requirements, it is accepted into the program as ValueStar Customer-Rated. Thereafter, the satisfaction score is kept up-to-date with feedback solicited from ValueStar Consumers who either use an enrolled credit card in their transactions with the business or who otherwise provide feedback relating to transactions with the business that ValueStar can confirm as having actually taken place.

The following are the requirements for companies to achieve ValueStar's Customer-Rated status:

  • Pass insurance, license, legal and credit verification
  • Obtain a customer satisfaction survey score of at least 75 out of 100
  • Agree to be rated by their customers on an ongoing basis
  • Agree to ValueStar's dispute resolution process

Commit to customer service and satisfaction by adhering to ValueStar's Customer Bill of Rights.

ValueStar Customer-Rated Gold

A ValueStar Customer-Rated Gold Service Provider satisfied the requirements for ValueStar Customer-Rated status, but has also achieved an average Customer Satisfaction score of 90 or higher on ratings by 25 or more ValueStar Consumers over the past 12 months. The means of determining an initial score and keeping it up-to-date are the same as described above for Customer-Rated Service Providers.

In addition to the benefits of becoming ValueStar Customer-Rated, ValueStar Customer-Rated Gold businesses will have their listings displayed ahead of Customer-Rated businesses in the ValueStar Report printed directory and in results of all relevant online searches at the ValueStar website.
